Meditation Group for Teens

Teen Meditation Group with Shelly Graf

Who:Young people, who are in high school. Up to eight group members.

What: Group that explores mindfulness practices including Yoga, Body Scan, Lovingkindness practice, walking meditation and awareness of breathing meditation.

When: Thursdays: September 14th through October 5th, 2017 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm

Where: Sentier Psychotherapy; materials will be provided.

Why: So that teens can explore how being mindful (or aware of their moment to moment experience) can lead to freedom from stress and worry. Teens will learn to relate to difficult emotions with greater ease and will be better able to show up in a good way for themselves, family and friends. Each group will include guided mindfulness practices and opportunities to discuss what learning is taking place.

Group facilitator: Shelly Graf, M.S.W., LICSW.

What to wear: Clothes that will be comfortable for light movement (yoga). Bring a light sweater or sweatshirt in order to be comfortable during meditation.

Fees: $200 for this 4 week class. Insurance reimbursement receipts can be provided if requested.
