Elementary School Parents Group

Am I Doing This Right?

A support group for parents braving the elementary school years

Who

This group is open to parents and guardians who are currently raising children in elementary school.

What

This is a support group led by a child therapist/Registered Play Therapist who knows firsthand that parents need dedicated spaces to laugh, cry, and connect with other adults who are raising kids in elementary school.

When

This group will meet on Fridays from 8:30 – 10 AM beginning February 6th and ending March 27th, 2026.

Located in the Merriam Park neighborhood of St. Paul, which is part of the Creative Enterprise Zone. Our office is on the main level of the Ivy League Place building.

Why

Kids don’t come with a manual! Parenting can be baffling, overwhelming, and downright absurd. From particular eaters to after school meltdowns, we have heard it all. This group is intended to offer connection to parents with others in a similar boat with the addition of input from an experienced child therapist.

Fees

Group cost is $50 for screening and per group session. Sliding fee available, inquire with therapist during intake session. Superbills are provided for all group members and are particularly helpful for those who would like to submit to HSA, flex accounts, or insurance providers for out-of-network reimbursement.
