Elementary School Parents Group

Am I Doing This Right?

A support group for parents braving the elementary school years

Who

This group is open to parents and guardians who are currently raising children in elementary school.

What

This is a support group led by a child therapist (and former teacher turned principal) who knows firsthand that parents need dedicated spaces to laugh, cry, and connect with other adults who are raising kids in elementary school.

When

This group will meet on Fridays from 8:30 – 10 AM every other week from September 4 – November 13, 2026.

Where

This group meets in person at Sentier Psychotherapy:

475 Cleveland Ave. N.
Suite 103
St. Paul, MN 55104

Located in the Merriam Park neighborhood of St. Paul, just north of I-94. Suite 103 is on the main level of the Ivy League Place, and our door is in the southwest corner of the building. A large parking lot is available outside our entrance.

Why

Kids don’t come with a manual! Parenting can be baffling, overwhelming, and downright absurd. From particular eaters to after school meltdowns, we have heard it all. This group is intended to offer connection to parents with others in a similar boat with the addition of input from an experienced child therapist.
