The Pause: Support for Women in Midlife Fall 2026

The Pause: Support for Women in Midlife
Who: Women who are experiencing perimenopause while juggling the joys and challenges of being middle-aged.
What: The Pause is a biweekly gathering of folks living through all of the changes associated with perimenopause and being middle-aged. Perimenopause brings about significant hormonal changes that affect mental and physical health all while women are focusing on career growth, parenting, caregiving for aging parents, being involved in the community, and/or project managing households at the same time! As a group member of The Pause, you can share and process your experience while learning how to better regulate emotions, set boundaries, increase self care routines, and strike balance in your life. This confidential group provides peer support and professional resourcing from a licensed therapist who gets it.

Finding the Funny: Using Comedy to Explore Emotions
Who: Students from 7th to 9th grade who are curious about using humor as a way to express themselves, process feelings, and connect with others.
What: Participants will engage in a mix of guided comedy writing, group sharing, and improv activities to explore emotions and learn to cope with new experiences. Each session will focus on a theme co-determined by group members and therapist (e.g., self-image, friendships, family dynamics, resilience) and use humor to approach it from multiple angles.

Suicide Loss Bereavement Group
Who: Adult survivors of suicide loss when the loss occurred 3+ months ago
What: The grief of losing a loved one to suicide creates intense feelings that are often hard to describe to someone that has not experienced a suicide loss. There is often more shock, a greater sense of injustice, guilt, and blame, and a heightened sense of helplessness for people who lose a person to suicide. Peer support can be a critical component for many in navigating this journey to healing.
