Surviving and Thriving in College A to Z

Who

Individuals who are starting college soon and/or parents of future college students. Students/parents do not need to attend together. The seminar will be facilitated by Sarah Souder Johnson, MEd, LPCC. Sarah is a psychotherapist, school counselor, and teacher with experience in clinical and higher education settings.

What

Leaving the Nest: Surviving and Thriving in College A to Z is a 90-minute seminar designed to help answer questions and relieve anxiety related to the adjustment out of the family home and into college life. Participants will walk away feeling more prepared and confident about this big life transition.

When

Why

The transition to college is personally and academically challenging. It brings about change for the entire family when one person leaves the nest. Helping students and parents understand what to expect can help alleviate anxiety about all of the transitions happening at once.

Fees

$85 per family. Cost includes content of the seminar, a copy of Surviving and Thriving in College A to Z, additional resource referrals, and light refreshments. Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Refunds will be issued with a minimum of 72 hours notice.
