Becky is currently accepting clients who live in Minnesota or Wisconsin, as she is licensed in both states.
Becky believes that one of the bravest things a person can do is to explore and understand their own story. She feels privileged to walk alongside her clients and partner with them as they deepen their understanding of their story. Becky provides a therapeutic space that is safe, supportive, and non-judgemental. Becky also loves to laugh and bring humor into therapy as appropriate. That space can help people learn to trust and accept nourishment within a relationship where they feel understood and can grow, which can expand to other parts of life.
Becky loves working with clients to help them develop new skills, regulate emotions, and express themselves more fully. She works well with trauma, suicidality, and grief following the loss of a loved one to suicide. As a former college counselor, Becky is drawn to working with adolescents and young adults as they determine what they truly want out of life. Becky also enjoys working with people who may have perfectionist tendencies and those who sacrifice personal needs to meet goals. Becky also has extensive experience working with healthcare providers addressing the many stressors that occur when working in this field.
Becky is passionate about suicide prevention and volunteers with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Becky leads a professional book club for therapists to help expand relationships and knowledge in the mental health field. Becky loves reading, creating stained glass, and getting lost in nature, which makes walking therapy sessions a great option if you work with her.
Becky works with individuals across the spectrum of age, race, gender, ability, and sexual orientation.
