vaughn foster sentier therapy minnesota

The therapeutic process is akin to the creation of music and art. What is the vision for life you are trying to create? What behavioral and relational patterns and cycles are you living in while trying to capture your vision? Vaughn approaches therapy by building up client strengths, understanding their limitations, and helping the person explore who they are in context of the world around them to achieve the best version of themself.

Vaughn primarily works with teens and adults as well as those who identify as artists, LGBTQIA+, and within Bi-POC communities. Vaughn has research and clinical experience treating trauma, OCD, phobias, relationship difficulties, spiritual tension, and depression. They strive to create a therapeutic space where clients can explore who they are as individuals and make intentional actions towards the future they are trying to create. Vaughn also specializes in the therapeutic use of music/songwriting and loves running therapy groups with creative frameworks, such as Dungeons and Dragons and “the exquisite corpse,” an art making/creative writing group.

Vaughn is a therapist, author, and touring musician. As founder and director of the Twin Cities based non-profit, Polyrhythmic Arts, they work with musicians through events and workshops to find peace within the “artist grind.” Vaughn is also actively involved in personal music and video projects, biking, and spending time with their family, including their cats Timon and Nyx, and an axolotl named Ragnarök
